Gripset C-1P is a one-component, fibre-reinforced flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane designed for positive and negative waterproofing applications. It is suitable for underground areas, immersed environments, under-tile waterproofing, swimming pools, water features, retaining walls, planter boxes and water tanks.
Gripset C-1P is a high-performance, one-part flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane formulated with graded aggregates, polymers and fibre reinforcement. It is designed to deliver durable waterproofing performance in demanding areas where water pressure, moisture exposure and substrate movement are key concerns.
Unlike standard liquid waterproofing membranes, Gripset C-1P is suitable for both positive and negative waterproofing applications. It can be used in continuously wet or immersed environments and provides excellent adhesion, flexibility and crack-bridging performance.
The product is mixed on site with water and can be applied by brush, roller, trowel or texture spray to horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Mix Gripset C-1P with clean water according to the manufacturer’s instructions until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Ensure the substrate is clean, sound and free from dust, oil, grease, curing compounds, loose material and other contaminants before application.
The product may be applied by brush, roller, trowel or texture spray. Apply the required number of coats to achieve the correct dry film thickness for the intended application. Allow each coat to dry sufficiently before recoating or applying finishes.
For immersed areas, water pressure applications, swimming pools or critical waterproofing zones, always follow the latest Gripset technical document and project specification.
Coverage depends on the required film thickness and application type. As a general guide, coverage is approximately 1.25kg/m² per 1mm layer thickness.
Recommended dry film thickness may vary depending on the application:
Drying and curing times may vary depending on temperature, humidity, film thickness, ventilation and site conditions.
Do not apply over contaminated, unstable or poorly prepared surfaces. Do not expose to water pressure or full immersion before the required curing period has been achieved. Application thickness, curing time and system requirements must be followed strictly for immersed, underground, swimming pool, water tank and negative pressure applications.
For critical waterproofing projects, always refer to the latest Gripset technical documents and confirm suitability for the specific site condition before use.
